Anonapalooza 2010
After a successful inaugural event, "Anonapalooza" is back by popular demand for an expanded 2nd year. Plan on bringing your family and friends to spend Saturday and Sunday, July 31st and August 1st at Good Templar Park enjoying music, art, games, and most of all fellowship. This year's event offers the chance, as last year did, to build lasting memories with those you love...or want to!
Anonapalooza 2010 will have 4 different musical stages, and our interactive DRUM CIRCLE EXPERIENCE to enjoy. There will be something for everyone. The MAIN STAGE will offer music from a variety of acts that will perform classic rock, blues and folk music. The WAKING THE DEAD STAGE will present cutting edge bands with a more energetic and edgier sound. Our ACOUSTIC STAGE will be redesigned and relocated to highlight talented stringed instruments and awesome vocals. The PIRATE STAGE returns with its’ OPEN MIC, "sign up and play format"; where a sound system and drums will be provided. The INTERACTIVE DRUM CIRCLE will periodically offer families and friends an opportunity to get in the groove and play a multitude of percussion instruments. For further fun, there will be other opportunities under our ACTIVITIES AND ENTERTAINMENT TENT , TOM BOZ MAGICIAN perform acts of magic before your eyes. We will again offer an opportunity to have kids experience MY FIRST GUITAR LESSON Anonapalooza is proud to also present displays of art by the BATAVIA ARTISTS ASSOCIATION, along with demonstrations by artists. Aspiring younger artists will also have the chance to paint color and draw in our youth GAME AND ART CAMP ! We will also provide games, face painting and other awesome activities.
To maintain your energy and strength, please visit our CONCESSION STAND for delicious, affordable edibles and beverages.
Lastly, take the time to play one of our many games. A picnic is nothing without games. So, try playing GOLF...beat the pro, softball, volleyball, corn hole bags and so much more! Come back to our site as we announce the schedule of events and the bands committed to playing. Please take this chance to build your memories, and a future for those afflicted by addiction. The primary benefactor for this year is again Serenity House in Addison, a counseling, treatment and living facility for the treatment of those affected. Their services help to rebuild lives and families who struggle with addiction. The secondary benefactor is Good Templar Park, a place of beauty, fun, sober living and fellowship. I am writing you to tell you about a family-friendly, alcohol-free event called Anonapalooza, July 31st-August 1st in Geneva at Good Templar Park......a benefit for Serenity House in Addison, a residential Half-Way House for Men and Woman. Serenity House provides stability, discipline, and basic recovery tools for those suffering from addictions to alcohol and drugs in those ever important early days of sobriety. One of our new friends, Jenny Casale from the daily herald wrote about us recently. Here is her story link: http://www.dailyherald.com/story/?id=393465
